Today, when I went to the dump, I saw a computer sitting there. After examining it for a while, I decided to pick it up. It has two hard drives, and 256MB of ram. All, and I mean all, of the wires inside the case were cut near the connectors. The processor was also missing. I swiped the ram and placed it in Compy-586, and also tested the video card in my other computer too (since it has s-video and component video out). Now my old computer has a total of 512MB of RAM; 128 original + 128 bought on eBay + 256 from this computer. The two hard drives are rather small: 213MB and 4.3GB. I may end up using the larger one to install Windows Vista on, or, failing that, Linux. Also, in other news, I am teaching myself to type with the Dvorak keyboard layout, and have actually typed this entire post using that layout, so I blame all typing errors on that ;) .
