So, it has finally happened; I have a new computer. And by "new" I can for once say not only "new to me" but "new" as in "brand-spankin'-new". I saw a laptop on Best Buy's sunday flyer for $499, and had come across $500 for Christmas $$, and it was time for a new computer. I am posting this from the aforementioned computer, with 4, count them; FOUR USB 2.0 ports, a CD burner/DVD reader, and a few other bells and whistles. Well, I'm excited, and look forward to applying the next 8 billion updates, and customizing it with my favorite software, etc. Well, see you next time.
* appears that it is an 80786 (Celeron/P4/etc.), originally named "Lappy 686". Name used to distinguish from Compy 586, Lappy 486, Compy 386 a.k.a. "rich", and Compy 286 a.k.a. "old clunker upstairs". Names do not necessarily represent the correct CPU architecture used.
