Well, I suppose it is about time to post about the happenings during Christmas 2005. I went to my grandma's house, ate, and got a big doilie thing, and some black olives (I like black olives.) At my uncle's house, I got a gift card. At home, I got season two of "Gilligan's Island", the super-duper "Office Space" box set with a red Swingline, a coffee mug, a flair-filled mousepad, a pen, mechanical pencil, and of course, the DVD movie itself. I also received a few other gifts as well. I got to look at "It" a.k.a. the "Quizmatic 8000", and it seems that the 4001 (quad two-input NOR gate) is misbehaving. I shall attempt to desolder it (when I get my hands on some desoldering equipment) and replace the chip, and also wire it a bit more correctly (tieing unused input pins to the ground, resisterifying another input to the ground as well, etc.) I tried using another of the NOR gates provided on the chip, but it appears to be also "working" the same way with this gate, so it appears that the chip is borked/broken/defunct/troublesome. Tuesday, (yesterday), I went to the Science Club non-denominational holiday party, and got some McDonalds gift certificates. I also got to see some friends and have fun. So, that's about it, I think...
