Well, I have just got back (a few hours ago) from the 2007 Science Club annual camping trip. It was a lot of fun yet again this year, and the weather was excellent. This year we returned to High Cliff State Park.

Camp-O-Lympics©®™ consisted of the usual magnifying glass fire starting challenge, the marshmallow shooter accuracy and distance contests, a trivia contest, a parachute-making contest (aim was for accuracy) and a number of other challenges. New this year was a GPS speed navigation challenge, in which we had to use a list of GPS coordinates to locate 6 hidden "Science Club" stickers, and record their code number, as well as elevation. Due to the low turnout this year, we only had two teams competing. My team won this year (Pyro, Ian, and I). As the winning team, we had first pick of the prizes, and wound up choosing balloon launchers (requiring 2-3 people to operate), and also received some gum.
