When you turn your computer off, also turn your monitor off. Yes, I know, "It turns itself off", but it isn't really off, it's just in a standby mode where it is still using some electricity, which over the course of the years that it'll be in standby will add up to a lot of electricity and also money in electric bills. On a related note, turn your speakers off when you aren't listing to anything on your computer, and turn your printer off when not in use.
