News item #102; "DynDNS Updater" on 10/25/05:
Previous Next
I have begun work on making a DynDNS updater client. Currently, in version 0.5 Beta, it can construct the HTTP get query, and is almost ready to send the update to DynDNS's webserver. In case you are wondering what this all means, it basically can/will update a DynDNS account for you. DynDNS is a free service to have a sub-domain name (i.e. somesite.dyndns.org, or whatever.mine.nu) point to an IP address of your choosing. If you run a webserver on your computer, for example, you can use DynDNS to get to it with an easy to remember name instead of some (frequently changing) number.
