Review of movie Kung fu Hustle on 5/3/05 by moose:

The other day, I had a chance to go and see a movie. Instead of going to see the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, which was probably packed, I went to go see this action/comedy movie. I say action/comedy because there was a lot more action in this movie than there was comedy. The fight scenes were done exceptionally well, simultaniously intigrating computer generated effects and stunts. Though the action was visually pleasing, the comedy was also good, although the action was used to create the jokes sometimes. The drawbacks: though there were not many, they did exist. First, the movie wasn't in english. To some people this is a huge problem, but I speak fluent Japanese and Chinese, so it wasn't a problem (just kidding, there were subtitles). The second and final drawback that I found was the fact that the entire movie was extremely predictable. But besides that, it wasn't bad. I would give Kung fu Hustle 4.5 stars out of five, or a 8 out of ten.
