Working on "It" 01/04/06
Tonight, I worked on "It", a.k.a. the "Quizmatic 8000" for a few hours, mostly desoldering the 4001 IC, soldering an IC socket in place of it, and then inserting a new 4001 into the socket. December Calendar and other minor updates 12/08/05
The December calendar should be up soon, and the base is coming nicely. We will probably start the actual steps next week after the base is finished, a new Rube page will be up as soon as the list of steps is done, and the next newsletter is due out after Christmas sometime.

Minor Updates on Recent Happenings 11/18/05
We started putting the base together for the machine last night. I have found the possible cause for the malfunction of It and will be looking into it tomorrow. The Magic Tournament is a go. The entry fee is $13 for the deck. Please get it to the Zimmerpeople as soon as possible. Science Bowl Practice Starts Tomorrow 11/01/05
In case you forgot like I did, the Tuesday morning practices for the Science Bowl start tomorrow at 7:00AM. The materials for the new Rube base were picked up and we also raided the beach for sand/magnetite. New Rube page in the works.
Rube Challenge for 2006 Released 10/16/05
The challenge for this year's competition was finally released this weekend! The challenge is: "The National Challenge for 2006 is: Cut or Shred Into Strips 5 Sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" 20lb Paper Individually With a Shredder in 20 or More Steps!" Plans are now in the works. Possible Magic Tournament 10/03/05
The Zimmermans are planning a Magic tournament for November sometime. It is tentatively scheduled for the 19th. Contact them if you are interested. Keep watching this site or my(Pyro) blog.
Calendar + Other Minor Details 09/30/05
The new calendar for October is up. The date to watch is Paintball/Movie Night at my house. This all depends on CC, keep watching for updates. Tonight we started moving stuff in the Rube Shed and got sort of organized. We also watched a few short videos for ideas to incorporate into the machine.
Calendar Update 09/09/05
The Science Club calendar has been updated. The first meeting was tonight and I will have details as soon as I talk to someone that went(I had CC). I talked to a bunch of people that wanted to join and sent them to the meeting. Hopefully they will join. Look for an update soon.
